Rob Allen Spring Steel Spears made in South Africa by Rob Allen Dive Factory. Don’t fall for imitation spears made by other South African companies to look like RA spears but are nowhere near as strait. Please see video below to check your spear straightness.
Most popularized 17 4 PH spears when hardened correctly are supposed to be 52 Rockwell C which sets it at around 1700 MPA in tensile. When actually tested many are not above 48 C measuring around 1450 to 1500 MPA.
Rob Allen carbon spring steel is 50 to 52 Rockwell C and 2000 to 2100 MPA, no spear is tougher or more resistant to bending.
